    I've been avoiding dA for a while, preferring the idea of driving my potential audience to my own website. I sign up only to browse for visual inspiration, but now that I'm here, I'm wondering if it is worth my time to actively display my work on this site.

    I'd love to hear your thoughts on that subject, since you seem to have harnessed dA as a valid revenue/promotion source.

    oh yeah, I'd definitely post your work here, whatever it may be. I say any amount of exposure is welcome, and you'll certainly get it here. As far as actual profits are concerned, I wouldn't expect much, if you're looking to sell prints through dA... unless they're gorgeous. But I have people often asking me how much I'd charge for leather and cloth goods and I think many people are deterred because of how much it costs, due to time and a fair wage. Now, I do know people, like *merimask who have done well with dA, selling masks or many other things.
